The BCCCA, with the assistance and support of StudentAid BC, of the Ministry of Advanced Education, has developed a day-long comprehensive overview of the policies and procedures involved in administering the BC Student Assistance Program at a private post-secondary institution. The seminar covers such topics as:

  • Student Services Branch organization and contacts
  • BCSAP process – paperwork and protocol
  • Interest free status
  • Processing withdrawals
  • Overawards
  • Record-keeping & school audits
  • Program eligibility
  • Key changes in BCSAP policy
  • Common errors
  • Appendis 3, 5, 6 & 7
  • Interest relief, debt reduction and principle deferment
  • Default management
  • Etc

While the topics covered concentrate on the basics, even those who have been Financial Aid Administrators for years will find value in the review and benefit from the opportunity to discuss policies and procedures with their peers.

Attendance at the seminar and the successful completion of the post-seminar test (administered in the last 30 minutes of the day) will result in a Certificate of Completion.
